Here’s how a private session with Jill works:

Bring a camera.
After an assessment of your needs and the time you have to practice,
Jill will ‘prescribe’ a practice for you to do at home. We’ll take
photographs of the sequence and write out instructions together.

The first session is 1 and 1/2 hours: cost $150 ( $175 in your home).

Bring a friend, the price stays the same. Financial needs are taken into account with a sliding scale.

Your private sessions can focus on physical postures, how to support better communication between your mind and body, understanding both mind and body, meditation instruction/advice – all or one – you choose.

The most important aspect of these sessions is that they are for you - to fascilitate your awareness, harness your mind's potential, offer you tools for your own growth, freedom and empowerment. We utilize the mind in the body as a way of practicing meditation, whether in stillness or in motion. We practice presence of mind through the vehicle that we all have - the body. We see the body as a wonderful reflection of our mind and heart.

Private sessions are excellent for anyone living with chronic pain or illness, PTSD or any kind of trauma. Together we can work with what you are dealing with and develop a variety of tools to work with what your life holds.


Mind in the Body: restoration & renewal

For those who may benefit from personal attention -whether it be due to an injury, chronic pain, physical illness, or emotional imbalances. The sessions are the same as a private, but will include useful information about why various postures are chosen and their relationship to your circumstances. Similar to physical therapy, similar to emotional therapy, but with practical information about your own body and your own mind - so that you may participate in and understand the re-newal process of your body and mind working together. Mind & Body Phone Counseling:

For those of you who live outside of New York City, or if you are unable to travel - Jill is available to help out over the phone. Counseling sessions involve meditation practices and visualization techniques to help you help yourself with emotional issues, physical issues and illness.Sessions are one hour, cost: $100 per session. If you have access to Skype, we can talk and see each other at the same time, and you can call from anywhere that you live.

Mentoring in Person, or on the Phone:

If you are a dedicated yoga and meditation student and would like to have Jill as a personal mentor to help guide you, please email: jill@vajrayoga.com with a description of your practices and what you are hoping to gain. You need not to have completed a 200 hour training with Jill, but a minimum of one workshop or retreat is necessary to become a mentee. Cost per hour will be determined on a sliding scale basis. We can utilize Skype for this as well, so you can call from anywhere in the world!

“Cushion Consultations”:
If you have a meditation practice and would like help sitting with more physical ease, bring along your meditation cushion or bench. Jill will ‘prescribe’ a practice for you as mentioned above, but will also help you to sit more comfortably on your seat. It can be as simple as adjusting height, having some props, opening certain areas of the body etc. - once addressed you’ll be amazed at the ease in which you can sit. Prices and time same as above.
